Image Watermark Tool

Add your name, handle or copyright notice to a photo. Place it in a corner or tile it across the image, adjust opacity and rotation, and download.

Your image is processed on this device. It is not uploaded to CreatorKit.

or drag and drop it here

JPEG, PNG, WebP or GIF (first frame). Up to 25 MB.

How to add a watermark

  1. Choose the image you want to watermark.
  2. Type your watermark text, such as © 2026 Your Name or your social handle.
  3. Pick a corner, edge or the centre, or tile the text across the whole image.
  4. Adjust size, opacity, rotation and colour. A soft shadow keeps white text readable on light areas.
  5. Choose a format and download.

Choosing a style

  • Corner, 40–70% opacity: subtle credit for social posts and portfolios.
  • Tiled, 15–30% opacity, rotated about −30°: for proofs and previews you send to clients before payment.
  • Centre, larger text: for stock-style previews where the image should not be usable as-is.

Size is set as a percentage of the image’s shorter side, so the watermark looks the same on small and large images. Text is kept inside the image with a margin, even when rotated.

Supported files and limits

JPEG, PNG, WebP and GIF (first frame). Up to 25 MB. Transparent PNGs stay transparent if you download PNG or WebP. Text uses your device’s system font, so it may look slightly different between computers and phones.

How it works

The tool draws your image and the text onto a canvas in your browser, then saves it as a new file. Nothing is uploaded. If you also need the image at a specific size, run it through the image resizer first so the watermark stays crisp.

Frequently asked questions

Will a watermark stop people copying my image?
It discourages casual copying and makes the source clear, but it cannot prevent theft. Corner watermarks are easy to crop; tiled, semi-transparent watermarks are harder to remove but more distracting.
Can I add a logo image instead of text?
Not in this version. The tool adds text watermarks. A © symbol, your handle or your website address are common choices.
Is the original image changed?
No. A new file is created and downloaded; your original stays as it was. Keep an unwatermarked copy for your own records.
Why is my download smaller than the original?
Very large images are scaled to a maximum of 16 megapixels so the tool works reliably on phones. The tool tells you when this happens.
